Becoming a mother can be profound, but it can also feel unfamiliar, exposing, and at times overwhelming. At The Nest Club, we offer specialist counselling for new mums navigating the early stages of motherhood. This might include postnatal depression, anxiety, birth experiences, identity changes, or simply the feeling that everything has shifted in ways you weren’t expecting. There can be love and connection, alongside exhaustion, self-doubt, or a sense of not quite recognising yourself. You may feel pressure to cope, to feel grateful, or to get things right, even when your internal experience feels more complex. You may also be adjusting to changes in your body, your relationship, and your sense of who you are, all while caring for a baby who depends on you completely. With space to pause and reflect, it becomes easier to make sense of what you’re going through, feel more supported, and begin to find your way into motherhood in a way that feels more grounded and your own.
