About Claire Cook

I’m a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, and former NHS Midwife with almost ten years of clinical experience. I hold an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling and a Postgraduate Certificate in Existential Psychotherapy. My background in nursing and midwifery deeply informs my therapeutic approach; compassionate, grounded, and attuned to the emotional complexity of fertility, pregnancy, and parenthood.

I offer individual therapy that provides a confidential space; a place to explore your life more deeply, make sense of challenges, and begin to see new perspectives. Rooted in Existential Psychotherapy, my work invites reflection on how you meet major life transitions and helps you understand difficult thoughts and feelings with greater clarity and compassion.

I have additional training with The Foundation for Infant Loss, and I volunteer with a nationwide bereavement charity. I have a particular interest in supporting people through grief, loss, and depression, helping them reconnect with their inner strength and sense of meaning.

I feel deeply connected to The Nest Club’s mission to nurture and support parents and families through life’s profound transitions with warmth, sensitivity, and care.
