About Leanne Taylor

I am a BACP accredited person-centred psychotherapist. I have extensive experience working with individuals remotely, at work, or in student settings and in private practice, both remotely and in person. I also facilitate group work.

Some of the issues I work with are anxiety, depression, trauma, work-related stress, bereavement, suicidal thoughts and self-harm. I am also an accredited practitioner for Pregnancy and Infant Loss and subsequent pregnancy after loss through the Infant Loss Foundation as well as having my own personal experience of pregnancy loss and navigating adolescent mental health issues.

I’m here to provide you with a safe space and to help you explore and process what you are struggling with, whether that is relating to anything that has happened in the past, is happening in the present or worries for the future. Being able to explore these things on a deeper level can help you find the ways to accept, overcome and gain a better understanding of you and the world around you. A humanistic approach to therapy can help to create the room to find the coping mechanisms that work for you and to rebuild resilience.

Sometimes it feels difficult to talk about what you are struggling with, you might not be able to find the right words, or you struggle to find a place to start. I can help you in this by using creative art and play exercises to encourage the flow of exploring your experiences and to help you find meaning and understanding in them.

One of the most important factors in therapy is the relationship you have with your therapist. This is why I offer a short, informal introductory call where we can have a chat about why you are coming to therapy and what you would like to gain from the sessions, to see if I feel like the right fit for you.

I feel very passionate about The Nest Club’s mission in supporting people through fertility, pregnancy, postnatal, and parenthood, as I never had the support that I needed when I had my own experiences; being a single parent and the loss of a child. I feel it would have made a huge difference to my own journey. I feel proud to be a part of that mission.

Healing isn’t about “getting over” the pain. It’s about making sense of it so it no longer takes up all the space in your life.
