I am particularly passionate about supporting people through parenthood and the many emotional and relational changes that surround it. I have worked extensively with parents and families throughout my clinical career and have a genuine understanding of how complex family life can be – the love and joy alongside overwhelm, guilt, uncertainty, loss of identity and the pressures that can place on relationships. I am particularly interested in the ways that becoming a parent can change how we see ourselves, our partners and our families, and how previous experiences can sometimes resurface during these major life transitions.
Being a parent myself has also given me a deeper personal understanding of the realities and complexities of parenthood, while my clinical experience allows me to hold that understanding thoughtfully and without judgement. I love to support people through the different stages and experiences that can shape family life, including fertility, pregnancy, the postnatal period, parenting, changing relationships and the many transitions that come with building and navigating a family.
The Nest Club genuinely understands the complexity of these experiences and creates spaces where people can be supported through them without judgement or the expectation that there is one ‘right’ way to experience family life. I really connect with the recognition that parenthood and relationships can be joyful, difficult, complicated and sometimes all of these things at once, and with their commitment to making therapy accessible and relevant to the realities of modern family life. The opportunity to work within a specialist practice that places relationships, parenthood and family wellbeing at the heart of its work naturally fits my experience, values and clinical interests
