Grief and Loss
Counselling and Support

Specialist support for grief, bereavement, and loss. Helping you process what’s happened and find a way to live alongside it.

When Loss Shakes Your World

Grief is not always predictable. It can arrive in waves, shift over time, or stay present in ways that are difficult to explain. At The Nest Club, we offer specialist counselling for individuals navigating grief and loss. This might include the death of someone close, miscarriage or baby loss, the end of a relationship, or other forms of loss that carry emotional weight. You may be feeling sadness, anger, numbness, or a sense of disorientation. For some, grief is immediate and intense. For others, it unfolds more gradually, or appears long after the loss itself. There can also be a sense that life has changed in a way that can’t be undone. With the right support, it becomes possible to make sense of your grief and begin to find a way of carrying it that feels more manageable.

Specialist Grief Therapy - What to expect

Our therapists offer a space where your grief can be expressed without needing to shape it or move through it in a particular way. There is no expectation to 'move on' or to feel a certain way within a certain time. Grief does not follow a linear process, and it often brings up a range of emotions that can sit alongside each other. Therapy allows you to speak about what has been lost, to process the emotional impact, and to understand how it continues to affect you. This might include working through sadness, anger, guilt, or the absence left behind. Over time, the focus is not on leaving the loss behind, but on finding a way to live with it, so that it no longer feels as overwhelming or all-consuming.

Grief and Loss Counselling FAQs

Grief counselling provides support after loss, helping you process emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, or confusion. It offers a space to understand your experience and begin to live with loss in a way that feels more manageable.

Some people experience delayed grief or feel stuck in certain emotions. Grief counselling can help you process what hasn’t yet been fully understood.

Therapy can support many types of loss, including bereavement, miscarriage, baby loss, relationship breakdown, and other significant life changes.

Yes. All counselling at The Nest Club is confidential. What you discuss with your therapist stays private, except in the rare circumstances where there is a serious risk of harm, which follows standard professional safeguarding guidelines. Our aim is to create a space where you feel safe to speak openly and honestly.

Some people come for a small number of sessions to talk through a specific decision or experience. Others choose to continue for longer if they want more time to explore the emotional impact. Your therapist will work with you at your pace, and there’s no pressure to commit to a set number of sessions.
