Birth doesn’t always unfold in the way you expected. For some, it can feel frightening, overwhelming, or out of control. At The Nest Club, we offer specialist counselling for individuals navigating birth trauma. This might include a difficult or emergency birth, medical complications, feeling unheard or unsupported, or a sense that something didn’t feel right at the time. You may find yourself replaying parts of the birth, feeling on edge, or experiencing anxiety, low mood, or disconnection. For some, there can be intrusive memories, difficulty sleeping, or a sense of not fully having processed what happened. At the same time, you may feel pressure to move on quickly, particularly when caring for a new baby. With the right support, it becomes possible to gently process your experience, understand its impact, and begin to feel more settled and in control again.
