FAQs

Registered/Accredited Therapists

Curently The Nest Club offers therapy online only.

Our freelance therapists must be registered or accredited with HCPC, UKCP, BACP, BABCP, BPS, COSRT, NCS or an equivalent recognised professional body. You must hold appropriate professional indemnity insurance and practise in line with your governing body’s ethical framework.

You organise your diary according to your availability, offering as many sessions as you’re able. As most clients are looking for weekly therapy, a degree of regular commitment is important. If you plan to step back or reduce your hours, we ask for six weeks’ notice to allow time for a thoughtful ending or, where needed, a transition to another therapist.

Session rates depend on the type of work. Individual therapy (50 minutes) is paid at £40 per session. Couples, Family and Coaching (60 minutes) is paid at £50 per session.

As a registered or accredited therapist, you are responsible for arranging your own supervision and maintaining appropriate professional indemnity insurance.

Student/Trainee Therapists

Curently The Nest Club offers therapy online only.

We welcome trainees who are currently in recognised counselling or psychotherapy training at Level 4 or above. Your course should be accredited or aligned with a recognised professional body such as BACP, NCPS, UKCP, COSRT or an equivalent UK accrediting organisation. You’ll need to be in active clinical training, receiving regular supervision in line with your course requirements, and ready to work within a professional and ethical framework. We look for trainees who are thoughtful, reliable and committed to offering steady, compassionate client work within a supportive clinical community.

We ask trainees to see a minimum of three clients per week. You are responsible for ensuring your supervision ratio meets your course requirements based on your total client hours. If you plan to step back or reduce your hours, we ask for six weeks’ notice to allow time for a thoughtful ending or, where needed, a transition to another therapist.

We provide supervision at a 1:8 ratio, in line with BACP requirements. If additional supervision is needed, this can be arranged directly with your supervisor and funded separately

Yes. All therapists, including trainees, must hold their own professional indemnity insurance and clear DBS check
