Carolin Sternecker

I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist with an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and a registered member of the BACP. I’ve completed additional training in Systemic, Family, and Couples Psychotherapy, and I work with teenagers, adults, couples, and families in both English and German. My experience spans private practice, the NHS, and community settings, where I’ve supported people through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges.

My approach is flexible and collaborative, drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, and cognitive-behavioural perspectives, alongside elements of Gestalt, DBT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. I adapt my work to meet each person’s unique needs, always aiming to create a space that feels safe, compassionate, and genuinely understanding.

I’m particularly passionate about supporting adolescents, families, and couples as they navigate complex relationships, heal from the past, and reconnect with one another. I also have a special interest in working with neurodiverse individuals and parents raising neurodiverse children, as well as interracial couples. My work with diverse and multi-ethnic communities — including women with histories of childhood sexual abuse and trauma, and parents facing child-to-parent aggression — has deeply shaped my understanding of resilience and connection.

I feel closely aligned with The Nest Club’s mission because I’ve seen how vital support is during fertility, pregnancy, postnatal life, parenthood, and other major transitions such as career and identity changes. My aim is always to offer a space where people feel supported, seen, and empowered as they navigate the challenges and joys of these transformative stages.
