About Lauren Jacobs

I’m a Psychotherapist registered with the BACP offering a thoughtful, compassionate space to explore life’s challenges and transitions. My approach is grounded in care, curiosity, and respect. I hold MScs in Psychology and Counselling Psychology and am completing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Roehampton University. I’ve worked across the NHS, mental health charities, and private practice, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds. Alongside my clinical work, I research trauma and discrimination and have delivered guest lectures on research skills and therapeutic practice.

I’m trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy which is all about understanding the roots of difficulties, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and person-centred therapy, integrating these approaches to meet each person’s unique needs.

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, attachment or relationship difficulties, fertility and parenting challenges, identity-related concerns, depression, burnout, and major life transitions such as relocation or becoming a parent.

I have a particular passion for supporting parents and couples through the transition to parenthood, helping people find hope, compassion, and resilience during this profound and transformative stage of life.
