About Lisa Wastney

I’m a Person‑Centred Counsellor offering warm, empathic therapy for adults navigating the emotional realities of modern family life, gently integrating ACT-informed principles that support you to relate differently to difficult thoughts and feelings. I practise in English and bring a grounded, human presence shaped by both professional training and lived experience.

I work with people experiencing perinatal challenges, parenting overwhelm, identity shifts, relationship strain, anxiety, trauma, and the emotional load of caring for children with SEND. Having lived through the fear and uncertainty of a high‑risk pregnancy, as well as the realities of raising a child with additional needs, I hold deep respect for the courage it takes to keep going when life feels tender or unpredictable.

I offer a calm, non‑judgemental space where you can slow down, breathe, and feel seen — a place to lay down what you’ve been carrying and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been overshadowed by responsibility or worry.

I’m proud to be part of The Nest Club because its mission mirrors my own: to make therapy accessible, inclusive, and genuinely supportive through the challenges and transitions that don’t come with a handbook. No one should have to navigate these moments alone.

I hold deep respect for the courage it takes to keep going when life feels tender or unpredictable.
