About Debbie Thompson

I’m a BACP accredited Integrative and Humanistic Psychotherapist with over ten years of clinical experience supporting individuals and couples through life’s most meaningful and challenging transitions. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy from The Sherwood Institute and work online with clients across the UK and internationally.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and compassionate, helping clients explore the emotional patterns that shape their relationships and sense of self. I work with people navigating fertility challenges, perinatal and postnatal experiences, parenthood, identity shifts, relationship changes, and major life transitions.

As a mother in my 40s, my own experiences, including fertility treatment, a complex labour, and the realities of balancing work and motherhood, have deepened my understanding of what many parents face. I bring this lived insight into my work with empathy, sensitivity, and authenticity.

I feel deeply connected to The Nest Club’s mission to make therapy accessible, inclusive, and part of everyday care, breaking the silence around fertility, pregnancy, and parenting, and helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive through life’s big changes.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and compassionate, helping clients explore the emotional patterns that shape their relationships and sense of self.
